Bonded
casting from original clay of Roy Benavidez by
Jenelle Armstrong Byrd, Sculptor. Cast as a foundry proof, this
scupture is available for display at approved public events honoring
veterans and active United States military members.
The sculptures have been displayed at the Annual Conventions of the
Special Forces Association, the USMC Combat Helicopter Association, the
Special Forces Association, the Legion of Valor, the Friends and Families
of the Congressional Medal of Honor, and the Marine Corps League. Other
notable events where they were displayed include the dedication of the new
Roy Benavidez Elementary School in San Antonio, the National Convention of
the American GI Forum, and the NCLR.
